More budget lies
Yet another example, of keeping the UK in the dark, and treating them like mushrooms. Feeding them on manure and hoping they will grow into an abiding society. The reality is, more smoke and mirrors, than a smoke and mirrors factory.

When is the leading politial party going to grow a pair of round ones, and follow through with their promises..

Far from being a country on primosed growth, we have yet again gone backwards, instead of reaching the fringes of the promised land.

More borrowing, higher prices, more debt..

Inflation will remain between 4 and 5% this year and then drop down to 2.5% in 2012, the OBR now expects. But, when have expectations ever materialised? The only materialisation, is that the UK will be plunged further into debt, and whilst this shower of politicians have control over our finances, then we are in for a rough ride.

For those interested in the UK Budget, a few snippets of the latest smoke and mirror campaign are as follows:

  • Corporation tax will be cut by 2% – Makes no odds to businesses when 2.5% was added to VAT in January 2011
  • The personal tax allowance – the amount people can earn tax free – will rise to £8,105 from 2012, confirmation of a long-expected change – Yes, paid for by the people who create wealth in this country, and are being shafted left, right and centre.
  • There will be 40,000 more apprenticeships – for young people struggling to find work – An absolute drop in the ocean compared to the amount of youth unemployed, and even more who will lack interest in such apprenticeships. These apprentices are costing the UK taxpayer £180million!
  • Fuel Duty down 1 penny – Please don’t forget the extra 3 pence that was slapped onto fuel in the VAT rise. Giving with one hand, and removing even more with other hands. Farcical.
  • Central funding of £100million to help councils repair potholes – Isn’t this 15 months too late?
  • The additional cost of military operations in Libya will be funded by the Treasury reserve – more smokescreens – This is STILL tax payers money.
  • Vehicle Excise Duty (car tax)  to increase in line with inflation – another example of taking with the ‘other hands’. What is the point of reducing 1p in the litre, and then banging a price increase on car tax.

Well, there we have it, just another budget in the life of a UK government who are running around like headless chickens.
